Day 4 - YXist 28DC

28DYC Day 04

The Lord had said to Abram, 'Go from your country and your people and your father's household to the land I will show you. And I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; and I will make your name great. You will be a blessing. And I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all the peoples on earth will be blessed through you.

Genesis 12:13

Welcome to Day 4 of the challenge.

Today I want to let you know that your "why" matters to others.

It doesn't matter what God has called you to do or if you think it's small or great.Whether or not you fulfill the purpose for your life matters to your spouse, kids, parents, friends and all those around you.

When I was in college my best friend left after the first year. She said she was going after the call of God on her life. This shook me up a bit, not because I would miss her, even though I would, it was the thought that fulfilling her purpose was more important than finishing college; and if going after the call of God on her life was so important, then shouldn't I do it, too?

I figured the answer was "yes," so I found my "why" and I started going after it. See, her decision to fulfill her purpose greatly impacted my life.

I do not know where I would be if my friend did not answer the call of God on her life.

Genesis 12:13 says, "The Lord had said to Abram, 'Go from your country and your people and your father's household to the land I will show you.

And I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; and I will make your name great.

You will be a blessing.

And I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all the peoples on earth will be blessed through you.'"

Here we see Abram, as a result of finding his "why" and going after it, affected all the families of the earth. That's our lives and the lives of those all around us.

So what would the world look like if Abram, later Abraham, never followed through with God's plan on his life? What will your world look like if you don't follow through with God's plan on your life?

Don't just think about a better life for you, but the better life you will make for those around you.

Stay focused on fulfilling your purpose. If you don't if you do, I guarantee you will make a great impact on those around you all because your "why" matters to others.
